Description
A dark, adults-only Red Riding Hood comic that reimagines the classic tale for a contemporary audience.
Unpopular Tales Vol. I: Red Riding Hood moves the familiar character far beyond the children’s story. In this version, Red is a high-end escort working at Granma’s House of Broken Girls, a place inhabited by women trying to survive circumstances for which nothing could have prepared them.
The comic introduces the world and characters at the centre of Unpopular Tales. Rather than offering a nostalgic retelling, it uses the recognisable fairy-tale framework to explore adult relationships, difficult choices and the realities hidden beneath familiar archetypes.
This 10th-anniversary edition returns to the comic that began the Unpopular Tales series. It is designed for adult readers interested in independent comics, mature reinterpretations of folklore and stories that approach uncomfortable subjects without simplifying them.
