Description
The Pinochia cyberpunk comic begins after a devastating conflict between humans and robots has brought humanity close to extinction. The remaining survivors are scattered and hidden, while machines dominate the world left behind.
Geppetto, a robotics engineer descended from those survivors, refuses to accept humanity’s disappearance. He creates Pinochia: an advanced android equipped with artificial intelligence, lifelike camouflage and the appearance of a 12-year-old girl.
Pinochia’s mission is to locate and assist the last human communities while helping restore balance between humans and machines. To complete that task, she must travel through a hostile world, learn from a series of mentors and develop the abilities needed to survive.
Fierce, intelligent and determined, Pinochia initially sees her mission as a clear objective. Her journey will force her to confront more difficult questions about humanity, technology and whether lasting peace between humans and robots is genuinely possible.
Pinochia #1 is the opening chapter of Unpopular Tales Volume II and the first instalment of a planned four-issue cyberpunk series. The project was successfully funded on Kickstarter in under 72 hours.
